Dance House has been providing live performance opportunities in professional theatres since 2015, starting with a few evenings held at The Alexandra Theatre, Bognor Regis.
A professional working theatre setting provides the ideal introduction to performance, with children from local schools and dance groups aged 5-18+ sharing their dancing onstage to an excited audience of family & friends.
Dance House has grown exponentially in 10 years. In the 2023/24 academic year, we held a number of Dance House evenings, showcasing 1,000 dancers, including children from around 50 different schools as well as local dance groups. We also supported A-level students who had performed at Dance House every year since they were aged 6/7 and in primary school!

At Dance House, we proudly empower children to express their creativity and build long-lasting skills that support them as they grow into young adults.
Dance has been proven to increase confidence in children and the performances they work towards with Dance House gives them a purpose and focus that enriches their lives.
Dance House is not just a chance for children to dance onstage but is a successful platform for older students to perform their own choreography, work towards their GCSEs and A-levels, and act as role models that continuously inspire the next generation.
The creation, choreography, and rehearsal processes provide the opportunity for participants to build teamwork skills and to communicate their thoughts and ideas in a positive environment.
“The variety of dance creations from the children never ceases to amaze me. They draw inspiration from anything and everything, from environmental issues, the refugee crisis, and different cultures from around the world, to their everyday lives and even Mary Poppins!”
Jill Hoskins, Dance House Co-Founder

Our Dance House evenings provide dancers with the opportunity to share their work with an audience, as well as other schools, in a positive collaboration with professional artists and theatre technicians.
The dancers are presented with a medal after their performances, but Dance House is not a competition. It is a lively, supportive environment where dancers cheer each other on and watch others perform, and the medals simply serve as a reminder of the experience they shared.
We celebrate the hard work, commitment, and skill of young people within our vibrant community at Dance House and are incredibly proud of each and every student.
2024 marked our 10th season as we celebrated the fabulous students and performances at The Pavilion Theatre, Worthing. Learn more about our events and book your tickets online – 2025 dates coming soon.
